This unit only requires plugs to operate – one main black plug which carries power and speaker out and also a smaller plug which carries the audio input and CanBus. Common problems when refitting are listed below, we will explore them in detail further on.

• Battery drain
• Crackle from speakers
• Still no sound

Sometimes it is necessary to remove battery and let the system boot up together. Also check that the remote trigger wire is providing the 12v supply required to operate the amp. Also check the 30 A fuse in the drivers side fusebox –

Double check the plugs are both fully inserted – especially the small one

Also , we are finding that the ignition switch can fail – this stops the power being supplied to the amp.


Very often the speakers can also be damaged when the amplifier goes faulty , it may be necessary to remove the door card and inspect the speaker plug/loom , they can suffer from water ingress as well .

The speaker cones can also be damaged when the amplifier fails – they should read around 6 ohms impedence.


Check the switched ignition feed switches between 12v and 0v with ignition switch.





Check that there are no wiring loom adaptors plugged in behind the radio – and also that there is no handfree device or adaptors fitted.
