Mazda 3 Bose Amplifier Repairs
International postal repair service for Bose car amplifiers
This 7 Channel DSP controlled amplifier can be found in all variants of Mazda 3 from 2009 onwards. It has a maximum power output of 240 Watts – located under the passenger seat , it’s easily removed.
It’s worth noting that the Bluetooth kit runs through the amplifier – so the amplifier is ‘on’ the minute the door is opened regardless of the radio being on/off.
No VIN coding – variables set by model number.
After spending many hours reverse engineering this unit we have built up an extensive knowledge base on the circuit. We have improved the design and have developed a ‘repair/reliability’ kit which we fit on all units. This enables us to confidently supply a lifetime warranty on all repairs.There are no known faults with the headunit – all issues are with the amplifier.
Common symptoms are ;
All units are tested first to ensure faults exist – after which the unit is stripped and rebuilt.
After a final reprogram/check and data errors cleared, the unit is sealed to protect the components from moisture.
We currently have a 100% success rate with these units – so long as they haven’t been water damaged or tampered with.
Our repair work seems to reach everywhere – the latest Haynes manual for Mazda features one of our repaired units in their ‘strip down’ guide
We can also …
reprogram any unit to ‘be another’ i.e.. convert a Mazda 3 to a Mazda 6 – any variant , any model.
Removal is pretty straightforward – the unit is located on a bracket under the drivers seat. You will need to slide the seat forwards to remove the two back nuts , then slide it backwards to remove the front nut . Carefully disconnect the three plugs and remove the complete housing – amplifier is underneath the black bracket.
With the frame removed there are a further 4 x 8mm nuts with secure the amplifier to the bracket – it’s easier to send us the unit without the black mounting frame (it will make the packaging smaller).
